I like to maintain a number of hobbies, which are at various stages of completion. One of the longer running ones is ham radio, which is the right amount of geeky for me to really get on with. I am licensed in both Canada and the United States, though I'd like to devote a little more time to upgrading my "shack" as it were and upgrading the licenses. I've long intended to do more with HF (as opposed to VHF which I have quite a bit more experience with). Other obligations have interfered with doing a great deal here, but this year I'd like to target at least some of the digital modes with a software defined radio.
